Becky Wedel formally known as Becky Mantel enters her first year as a member of the Rawlings Elite Softball Program. Wedel will have the primary responsibilities as the Director of Player Development.
Wedel joined the Rawlings Elite staff after spending two years as an graduate assistant coach at the University of West Georgia, where she helped the Wolves to two Gulf South Conference tournament appearances.
Some of her roles at West Georgia included serving as a specialist for outfield, hitting, base-running and, speed and agility. Wedel provided game strategy, served as a first-base coach and implemented and devised coaching duties for travel during her time at UWG. As graduate of Radford University, Wedel (Mantel) enjoyed a decorated career. She was a four-year starter in Centerfield. Wedel finished third all-time leader at Radford in on-base percentage (.457), third in runs scored (149), walks (74) and tied for fourth in home runs (32). She set new NCAA record for career HBPs on Apr. 6 at Appalachian State and finished with 111 HBP. Wedel led the team with career-bests of 34 RBIs, 45 runs scored and co-led team with nine home runs to equal a career-high her senior year. She was one of four Highlanders to start all 61 games with a total of 60 putouts in centerfield. She was selected to be an All-American her senior year by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In addition to helping Radford compete in the Big South Conference, Wedel was also a three-time Big South All Conference team player.

With in the Rawlings community we create a sense of family; these athletes will be working hands on with Coach Becky throughout the whole program. Participants will have the opportunity to safely work with other players and have individual training time as well. Athletes will sharpen already and newly learned skills to help take them to the next level of play. This 5 week camp is strictly designed to push these athletes to their max both mentally and physically. Players will engage in meticulous hitting drills to help increase bat speed, leg power, core power and arm power, while learning how to mentally prepare for games.
Purpose Of Breaking Down different parts of the swing each week: Learn to isolate and control different parts of athletes swings, Build and strengthen fine motor movements, Create a better understanding for the breakdown of the swing, Developing hand speed and Power, Teach situational hitting execution, Reinforce the foundation of an athletes swing.

Mid Atlantic Tournament Baseball (MATB) strives to put on the highest quality tournaments on the East Coast, as well as, provide the best prospect coverage for college coaches and professional scouts. Our goal is to be second to none.
Our tournaments are highly scouted because of the quality of teams and players that participate in our events. We will also provide coaches and scouts with an enormous amount of valuable information on players up and down the East Coast from South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York.
